Made 100% right here in the USA of anodized aluminum and weighing just 10.0 ounces, the patent pending ARClight XTL Tavor Forend is a direct replacement for the standard Tavor polymer forend.Even better, the ARClight XTL is 3 inches longer than the existing forend, thus allowing additional mounting space for accessories and a grip further out on the gun, including on top of the front of the forend. It is made of completely monolithic construction, with no welds or fasteners that can fail!
The ARClight XTL not only allows for additional mounting space, but also will allow for mounting of a standard 1" flashlight on both 16.5" AND 18" barrelled Tavors, something no other forend on the market offers! The ARClight XTL will also sleeve over any suppressor 1.75" in diameter or smaller, and for those who just can't get enough features, in a pinch you can still mount a bayonet for those close in encounters! The forend also features two integrally machined QD sling swivel pockets on each side, and slots at the rear underside for wire routing for those who wish to place their pressure or tape switches on the outside or mount it on a vertical foregrip under the forearm.
The ARClight XTL is compatible with all standard ARClight accessories including the Light Ring, rail segments, and the IPSM pressure switch kit.
So what is the ARClight system?
ARClight stands for Advanced Rail Chasis- lightweight. The ARClight system has been specially developed over the last year to combine the features of light weight, structural rigidity, good ventilation, and ergonomic comfort all into a single rail system. The ARClight slot system allows for the use of our ARC LOK lugged aluminum rails. ARC LOK rails have a lug on the back that engages the slot, which means you aren't just depending on the tightness of a screw to take all the loading and force on the rail, but that the rail becomes an integral part of the rail chassis, thus preventing it from slipping or shifting even under the heaviest of loads or sharpest of blows. So are you stuck using just the ARClight rails, yet another proprietary rail system that you can't use any other accessories on? NO! We recognized that there are a lot of great accessories and rails out there, and we can't make everything. Part of the development process of the ARClight was to make sure that the well known Magpul MOE polymer rails segments and most of the Impact Weapon Components Mount-n-Slot accessories would fit the ARClight system. Yeah, we like them so much we made our rail compatible with them! (Please note: If you are using the ARClight chassis to mount lasers or other items that need to retain zero, you should use only the ARC LOK lugged aluminum rails and not polymer or aftermarket rail segments.)
The ARClight XTL Tavor Forend comes in multiple trim levels to let you purchase only what you need to configure your rifle for your ideal application:
TRIM LEVEL: NAKED The NAKED trim level is just the rail- a great value that lets you got with the suprisingly comfortable and ergonomic base handguard rail and add accessories later. Sturdy yet well ventilated, it is a great option even if you just want to get more airflow over the barrel to keep it cool while firing lots of rounds at a high tempo.
TRIM LEVEL: FULLY LOADED The FULLY LOADED trim level is for those who aren't messing around and need it all and need it now. In addition to the base ARClight Tavor rail this package also includes the Light Ring for mounting your 1" diameter weapon light with tape switch INSIDE the handguard, one short 5 slot ARCl LOK aluminum rail segment and one long 11 slot ARC LOK aluminum rail segment. The ARC LOK rail segments are lugged to fully engage the ARC LOK slots and required no access to the backside to install- to place on the forend, twist the lock screws with the included allen wrench, and they are installed!
